Actually they are Reset inputs and they could be quite useful see Spehro’s comment. Good point, Tut – guess they’re not going to be useful after all.
It sounds like switch or contact bouncing. But they refer to them as “set-to-nine” inputs I’m trying to build a circuit that counts the number of pulses and displays it on a seven segment display.
Oct 12, 6. Help with counter circuit? Now, after i found every thing i need, i used Multisim and started connecting the outputs of 74ls93n to drive 4 LEDs instead of 7-Segmentjust to test it first, and ran my design.

They have supplied me with a 74ls93 however, and said that it should work with this. Yes, it’ll work to a datasheft – specifically, until the count reaches 9. Home Questions Tags Users Unanswered.
Read up on the problem and various solutions here: When the counter reaches 9 you want the next count to change it to Along with what Marshallf3 said 0. THere will be circuits onlime that do this OR ask again if more help needed.
There are also two “Set-to-nine” inputs on the 74LS90 used to set its value directly to 9, these should have been tied low if you didn’t need them but should be left unconnected on the 74LS Oct 5, 18 1. It depends on if you must have it roll from 9 to back to 0 on the next count. Chris vd Merwe 3 2. Do you already have an account? After i finished doing all the truth tables and drawing the logic diagram, i decided to simulate it first before getting into any hardware stuff.
The question is about substituting with a 74LS93 and those only have Reset pins there are no set-to-nine pins on that device. Sign up or log in Sign up using Google. Mar 24, 21, 2, By the way, “switch bounce” is not always “dreaded”. If you AND the two 1’s you will get an output when the 10 count occurs – this can be used to reset the counter to Dec 5, 5, Also, it would be interesting to know whether your 7-segment display will properly display digits above 9 or if it will display nonsense.
